The Hunt is a team-based scavenger hunt played using Ubiq’s spatial social media app. To win, you’ll solve riddles, race to the correct location to snap photos and throw opponents off your trail.

    2. Join a team (play with friends or meet new people)


    3. Receive riddles corresponding to physical locations or objects in the NYU / Washington Square Park area on the day of The Hunt


    4. Solve the riddles, race to the corresponding locations, and post photos at that location using the Ubiq app

    5. The twist: all teams see all posts in real-time on the Ubiq 3D world map. You can copy others, but beware: crafty teams can trick opponents by posting incorrect locations


    6. $1000 cash will be awarded to the team with the most posts at the right locations by the end of The Hunt

  • Spring 2025, Date - TBA (you will receive riddles and team assignments in advance). We start and end in Washington Square Park.

  • Tap the SIGN UP NOW button (slots are limited). There will be a maximum of 25 teams with 4 players each. You will have an opportunity to request to be on the same team as others (though there is no guarantee).
